SHOW RULES AND ETIQUETTE

We would like to ask all show participants and vendors to read the show etiquette rules listed below before attending our show. We want to ensure the success and positivity of our show and to do that, we all need to do our part by obeying the listed rules. Please keep in mind that although the rules are written concerning the Pygora shows, they apply to the Shetland shows as well. Thank you!

SHOW ETIQUETTE RULES

All show participants, vendors, spectators, and customers will be expected to be polite, civil, and respectful towards one another. This is a fun event with our main goal being to educate and introduce people to fiber animals and fiber arts!

Pygora show rules:

In the ring:

-Participants should not speak to the judge unless the judge asks them a direct question; this allows the judge to concentrate better and avoid bias towards competitors.

-show participants are expected to remain composed, calm, and respectful during the show â€“ no unnecessary behaviors that are inappropriate for a sanction show will be tolerated. This will provide a stress-free atmosphere in the show ring for participants, officials, and the goat!

-participants are to be considerate towards everyone at the show by avoiding causing any distractions that will take away from the quality of the show.

Fleece Show:

-absolutely no talking to the judge during the fleece show (except for show chairs, show secretary, and show steward). This is a blindly judge show, meaning the judge does not know the owner of each fleece until after the show. Comments from participants and spectators could take away from that aspect of the show and we want to keep the show entirely unbiased to further celebrate all of our Pygoras!

-no pictures of fleeces will be allowed until judging is finished.

-as with the in the ring rules, no distractions or behaviors inappropriate for a show will be tolerated.

For all shows, we would like to ask our audience members to observe the same rules in order to ensure the quality and effectiveness of our festival.

Thank you for showing respect towards everyone who has contributed to the driftless region show by following and observing these etiquette rules!
